We just attended one of the coolest Christmas Party's we've ever been to. Sorenson Capital put together a great evening of fun, pampering, and entertainment. We arrived Friday evening at the Chateaux at Silver Lake in Deer Valley and were admitted into a one bedroom suite! This suite was complete with a full kitchen, living room, king size bed, 2 fireplaces, balcony, and a jetted tub. The decor is reminiscent of a fine luxury cabin. To add to the cool ambiance, it had snowed about 6 inches and continued throughout the evening.
After settling into our posh room, we were escorted up the mountain to the Empire Lodge. We walked into a red carpet arrival, which you can see from the photo above. When we passed through the marquee we got to stroll down a path that featured some cool posters created to look like movie posters with SCP employees photoshopped in. It was very impressive. Also at our feet were "walk of fame" stars with all the employees names on them.

Cheese fondue, short ribs, venison, veal, and chocolate fondue to wash it down. We had an awards show that followed an "Oscar" type itinerary. Two presenters would go to the front and after a short, cheesy dialogue would present the award to the winning nominee. To finish the night, the firm bought all the wives a Tiffany's necklace and the husbands a new Garmin GPS device. All employees received a nice roller-duffle bag from LL Bean.
The next day we had breakfast and were invited to go skiing on the firm. The snow was sparce so we didn't take the offer. But needless to say, it was a fun night and we didn't want to leave.
